Cascade reminders: Telegram → WhatsApp → SMS

// how the cascade works

Three channels, one chain

A cascade is a single chain of channels for each reminder: it starts with Telegram, adds WhatsApp after 15 minutes of silence, and only falls back to SMS as a last resort. Each next channel switches on automatically — and the moment the client reads the message, the cascade stops.

T
Telegraminstant · cheapest
  • The first step of the cascade — the fastest and cheapest channel
  • The client gets the reminder the moment the appointment is booked in your system
  • Where a large share of clients read their messages every day
// one channel vs a cascade

The difference shows from the first month

One channel
  • A single channel is a guess about whether the client will even read it
  • A messenger glitch means a missed reminder and an empty chair
  • "Delivered" in a report does not mean "read"
  • You pay for every SMS — even to clients who read in Telegram
  • Your front desk calls round everyone who "didn't see it"
With Povidomlyaka
  • Three channels in sequence reach the client where they actually read
  • The next channel switches on automatically, so the slot stays booked
  • The cascade stops exactly when the client reads the message
  • SMS is a fallback only, so your monthly bill is noticeably lower
  • The whole chain runs without anyone at the front desk lifting a finger
// what it does

What the cascade handles

Automatic cascade

Telegram → WhatsApp → SMS starts itself once an appointment is booked in your system.

15-minute pause

It waits for the client to read before switching to the next channel.

SMS as backup

Paid SMS fires only when both messengers stay silent.

Synced with your CRM

Connect Altegio or Planfix once and the cascade reads appointment statuses on its own.

No admin work

No checking read receipts, no duplicating reminders by hand.

Stops on read

As soon as the client replies in any channel, no duplicate messages go out.

Frequently asked questions

What is a cascade reminder, in plain terms?+

It is a chain of channels for a single reminder: Telegram first, then WhatsApp, and SMS only as a last resort. Each next channel switches on automatically if the previous one goes unread for 15 minutes.

Won't several reminders in a row annoy the client?+

No. The cascade stops the instant the client reads the message in any channel — the next step in the chain simply never runs, so the client never gets duplicates.

How long is the gap between channels?+

By default it waits 15 minutes for a read before the next channel joins. That is long enough for the client to open the message at a normal pace, but not so long that the reminder loses its value.

Can I change the order of the channels?+

Yes. The order and the delays between steps are configurable for your client base — for example, you can start with WhatsApp if that is where most of your clients are, rather than Telegram.

Is it really cheaper than a plain SMS campaign?+

Yes. SMS fires only as the fallback step of the cascade, not for every reminder, so the vast majority of messages go through cheaper channels and your monthly SMS bill is far lower than with a single-channel SMS campaign.

Do I have to connect each channel separately?+

No. The cascade is one scenario that covers all three channels at once. A single connection to Altegio or Planfix is enough to switch on the whole Telegram → WhatsApp → SMS chain.

Does the cascade only work for appointment reminders?+

No. The same cascade principle works for review requests and win-back messages too — any message in Povidomlyaka can travel the chain of channels, not just the reminder the day before a visit.
